Amy Fellin Caputo is an accomplished marketing and communications leader with a track record spanning 30 years of service to non-profit associations, government, education, corporations, and media organizations.
For over 12 years, Amy served the Pennsylvania State University in various strategic communications, marketing, and engagement roles. Most recently, she was director of marketing and communications for Penn State Law and the School of International Affairs where she had responsibility for all internal and external content generation, public/media relations, and admissions marketing for the schools’ 600+ students and 60 full-time faculty.
Previously, she spent more than a decade at the Penn State Alumni Association, the world’s largest association of its kind serving 700,000+ alumni and 173,000 members. Amy led a team of creative, digital, marketing, social media, and communications professionals whose focus was to strengthen the organization’s reach, image, and impact by producing and delivering innovative, high-quality content, programs and events. During her tenure, Amy was the organization’s lead media and public relations contact, providing high-level issues and crisis management expertise to the board, volunteers, and staff, including during the Sandusky matter. She also advised and counseled affiliate group leaders nationwide on emerging issues.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, Amy spent eight years in marketing and business development at a top-tier southeastern regional law firm based in Richmond, Virginia, with more than 300 attorneys and offices in North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, and London.
She has served in numerous volunteer and community leadership capacities, most recently as board member with Centre Helps, a human services agency with a 24-hour mental health/suicide prevention hotline; president of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts; and she is a board member and alumna of Leadership Centre County.
Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State and a Master’s in mass communications with a media management concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
