Connie L. Brock has been a nurse and educator for over 35 years. Much of her career was spent at Sibley Memorial Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine in Washington DC. She began on a Medical/Surgical unit and then moved to the Intensive Care Unit for the next 14 years. In 2000, Connie was recruited to the Endoscopy Unit where she brought her critical-care skills to the recovery and procedure rooms and supported the Cardiac Catheterization Lab as a float and on-call RN.
In 2012, Connie joined the Education Department where she was responsible for the education and orientation of staff on five nursing units. This included new graduate orientation, preceptor training, staff support in certification for their specialties, and required competencies. In addition, she participated in general hospital orientation, house-wide hospital initiatives, regulatory surveys and served as an American Heart Association CPR/ACLS instructor. she has been certified in Critical Care, Gastrointestinal Nursing and Nursing Professional Development. In 2019, after retiring from Sibley Hospital, Connie became an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at Marymount University in Arlington VA.
Connie graduated with a BSN from The University of Texas at El Paso and an MSN from George Mason University.
